Setting Up “The Prediction Game”
Number of Players:
- 4 or more (works best with a larger group)
Materials Needed:
- Paper and pens (or a phone notes app if playing digitally)
How to Play
- Each Player Writes a Prediction
- Every player writes down a funny, bold, or oddly specific prediction about another player in the group.
- Predictions should be about the future, but they can be realistic or completely ridiculous.
- Example predictions:
- This person will adopt 10 cats by the time they turn 40.
- This person will end up on a reality TV show next year.
- This person will accidentally go viral for something embarrassing.
- Collect and Shuffle Predictions
- Once all predictions are written, fold them and place them in a bowl (or pass them to a game host).
- If playing digitally, one person collects and reads them aloud.
- Read the Predictions Aloud
- One by one, a player reads out a prediction without revealing who wrote it.
- After hearing the prediction, players discuss and guess who in the group is most likely to fulfill that prediction.
- Vote on the Most Likely Person
- After discussion, the group votes on who best fits the prediction.
- The person with the most votes “wins” that prediction.
- Reveal the Author (Optional Twist)
- Once a prediction has been assigned, the group can guess who originally wrote it.
- The actual author can then reveal themselves!
- Continue Until All Predictions Are Read
- The game continues until every prediction has been assigned.

- Players earn a point for each correct guess (when they correctly guess who the prediction was about).
- The player with the most points at the end wins!

- Instead of simple predictions, players write predictions as fake news headlines about someone in the group.
